CPRE CAMPAIGN FOR PROTECTION OF Rural England

Come and enjoy our unique and beautiful Church Wood Community Orchard, a wonderful reminder of the many orchards that used to be present in Sussex.

The orchard is set in a developing meadow and this is a great opportunity to learn more about the plants and insects that flourish there, and how they help our orchard trees.

1pm – 3pm

Explore Marline Meadow with Owen Johnson. and find out about our unimproved meadow, its maintenance, its wildflowers and the wild life it supports. We have lost 97% of our wild flower meadows since the second world war, so this is a very precious place indeed!

Meet: Napier Road, very close to the junction of Napier Road and Queensway, TN38 9NY. We will be by the path that leads to the Helipad recreation ground. Parking is available in Napier Road. We will start promptly at 1.00pm.
